Welcome to the Cybersecurity Law and Policy Review

The Cybersecurity Law and Policy Review (CLPR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of cybersecurity from legal, regulatory, and policy perspectives. We bring together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and technologists to advance rigorous discourse on the evolving challenges of digital governance, data protection, cyber conflict, and information security law.

As cyber threats continue to grow in scale, sophistication, and geopolitical consequence, the need for robust legal frameworks and informed policy responses has never been greater. CLPR serves as a critical platform for scholarship that bridges the gap between technical realities and the legal instruments designed to govern them.

Our Mission

CLPR is committed to fostering high-quality, original research that informs the development of cybersecurity law and policy at national and international levels. We publish work that is theoretically grounded, empirically rigorous, and policy-relevant — serving academics, legal professionals, government agencies, and civil society alike.

Open Access Commitment

CLPR operates under a fully open-access model. All published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription barriers. We believe that knowledge about cybersecurity law and policy must be accessible to all — from policymakers in developing nations to independent researchers and civil society organisations. Authors retain copyright over their work under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) licence.

Publication Frequency

CLPR publishes two issues per year — in June and December — with rolling online-first publication of accepted manuscripts. Special issues on emerging topics may be announced throughout the year.
